Matatiele Local Municipality | 15 September 2022

Minister for Small Business Development Stella Ndabeni- Abrahams in partnership with Matatiele Local Municipality handed over tools and equipment to 33 informal traders in Matatiele , Eastern Cape. The beneficiaries are part of the Department's Informal Micro Enterprise Development Programme, a 100% grant offered to Informal and Micro Enterprises aimed to assist them in improving their competitiveness and sustainability.

Western Cape Cluster Roadshow

The Department of Small Business Development supported by the European Union-funded Ecosystem Development for Small Enterprise (EDSE) Programme are running provincial roadshows. The purpose of the roadshows is to profile the role and techniques of clustering and identifying potential clusters for further support.

GCIS Public Service Day

It aims to discover innovations, reward excellence in the public sector, motivate public servants to further promote innovation, enhance professionalism in the public service, raise the image of public service, enhance trust in government, collect, document and share best practices for possible replication within a country as well as across the African Continent.

Exhibition for Youth Business Support

The Competition Commission has undertaken an advocacy project aimed at assisting South African young entrepreneurs in increasing opportunities for them to meaningfully participate in the South African economy. Continuing from the work done around the barriers to entry faced by young entrepreneurs, the Commission is hosting an exhibition to showcase the different institutions that offer funding, mentorship, transfer of skills and the registration of businesses all benefitting young people in business.
