Business Viability Programme

The Department of Small Business Development is implementing the Business Viability Programme to assist small enterprises experiencing business distress. The primary purpose of the Programme is to support SMMEs including co-operatives, to overcome both financial and non-financial constraints.

The Youth Challenge Fund (YCF) is a youth start-up support programme intended to stimulate the establishment and growth of youth-owned businesses, promote digital skills, grow the economy and foster job creation.

Through the SheTradesZA platform, selected women-owned businesses and corporations will benefit from a range of opportunities to expand their businesses and advance women economic empowerment.
The purpose of the Small Enterprise Manufacturing Support Programme is to build a manufacturing sector for an improved industrial base through a focused import replacement programme.

The Township and Rural Entrepreneurship Programme (TREP) is a dedicated programme to transform and integrate opportunities in townships and rural areas into productive business ventures.
