She perfected that there is a need for MSMEs to embrace digital transformation and building relations with suppliers and markets abroad.

The Minister for Small Business Development Stella Tembisa Ndabeni delivered a keynote speech at the Global SME Ministerial dinner endeavour.

Minister Ndabeni stated: "It is heartening to see the widespread recognition of entrepreneurs as key drivers of community development and economic growth. As the department, we are committed to providing comprehensive support to small businesses, encompassing both financial and non-financial assistance, to drive their growth and sustainability.

Furthermore, we are working to streamline regulatory frameworks, funding policy, and expand economic opportunities for historically disadvantaged groups, all of which are crucial to unlocking the potential of MSMEs," the Minister said.

Opening the first ever Global SME Ministerial Meeting, Minister for Small Business Development, Stella Tembisa Ndabeni outlined the objectives of the meeting which aims to enhance international cooperation and highlight the significance of MSMEs in local, national, regional, and global economies, given their role in providing millions of jobs, driving industrialization, sustaining economies, and introducing innovative solutions to pressing challenges.
