The Deputy Minister for Small Business Development, Ms Dipuo Peters handed over working tools and equipment to informal traders and SMMEs in Brits, Madibeng Local Municipality earlier today.

During the handover ceremony, Deputy Minister Peters was joined by the Mayor of Madibeng Local Municipality, Mr Douglas Maimane and other members of the Mayoral Committee, Acting District Mayor of Bojanala Platinum District Municipality, Ms Virginia Tlhapi, Seda North West Provincial Manager, Mr Sabelo Ntshangase.

The Deputy Minister for Small Business Development, Ms Dipuo Peters handed over business tools and equipment to SMMEs and informal traders in the township of Thembalethu, George Local Municipality, Western Cape Province, 07 May 2024.

The Deputy Minister was joined by the Chairperson of the Portfolio Commitee on Small Business Development, Mr Faiez Jacobs.

The beneficiaries are part of the Informal and Micro Enterprise Development Programme (IMEDP), which aims to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of SMMEs, informal traders and co-operatives

The Deputy Minister for Small Business Development, Ms Dipuo Peters is in Ladismith, Kannaland Local Municipality, Garden Route District, Western Cape Province to handover business tools and equipment to informal traders.

The benenficiaries are part of Informal Micro Enterprise Development Programme (IMEDP), which aims to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of SMMEs and informal traders.

Ms Peters will then proceed to George Local Municipality for yet another milestone delivery.

The Industrious Minister for Small Business Development, Ms Stella Ndabeni-Abraham’s extended service delivery in the Eastern Cape at John Wesley Church in Mthatha.

Ndabeni-Abrahams will speak on DSBD's programmes and offerings that are meant to alleviate poverty and encourage entrepreneurship via Small, Micro and Medium Enterprises (SMMEs) development.

The arming of SMMEs is a cornerstone to economic growth and emancipation from poverty as that is where most jobs are created.
