Minister Ndabeni-Abrahams handed over school uniform and shoes to pupils at Menziwa High School and Ndibela Primary School.
As part of the oversight and monitoring visit, Minister Ndabeni-Abrahams layed down ground rules on the importance of prioritising studies, focusing on entrepreneurship and implored learners to shay away from drugs and alcohol abuse.
“The National Development Plan (NDP) calls for the implementation of a joint national initiative involving all stakeholders to drive efforts to improve learning outcomes as it is a collective effort to work together in order to meet the targets and achieve the desired outcomes,”said Minister Ndabeni-Abrahams.
“As we strive to build an education system that adequately responds to the many challenges that confront our society, we must be informed by the recognition that the role of educators, parents and learners is central to the consolidation of a culture of learning and teaching,”Minister Ndabeni-Abrahams concluded.
