The Minister for Small Business Development Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams held an all important SMMEs, informal business as well Co-operatives Imbizo at Ndwebu Hall in Ixopo.

Minister Ndabeni-Abrahams addressed problems faced by small businesses, co-ops and informal traders in the Midlands.

Ixopo has been in news following the devastating April 2023 floods and the social unrest which resulted in loss of economic opportunities for small and micro businesses.

“The Department of Small Business Development (DSBD) and its agencies have developed a set of incentive programs that are targeting a wide range of micro, small and medium enterprises. The incentives schemes are meant to stimulate and facilitate the development of sustainable, competitive enterprises through the efficient provision of effective and accessible incentive measures that support national priorities,” said Minister Ndabeni-Abrahams.
