The Minister for Small Business Development, Ms Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams paid a visit to Arion Power (factory) in Capricorn Muizenberg, on the doorsteps of Cape Town Central Business District to access and monitor the progress made by young entrepreneurs.

Arion power was founded by two University of Cape Town postgraduate students in entrepreneurship namely Brian Gadisi and Alan Gie in 2020.

Arion Power was nominated as the Top 3 Finalist at the National Presidential SMME and Co-operatives award for Youth-Led SMME of the Year last year.

They manufacture a wide range of lithium iron phosphate batteries which work during power outages. They also manufacture Wiboxes, laptop power banks, business continuity combos, portable power stations, smart lithium inverter systems, off grid/hybrid solar batteries and lithium iron phosphate life P04 battery solutions. These products work mostly during power outages and can be used both home and in the office.
