The Deputy Minister for Small Business Development, Ms Dipuo Peters is leading the hand over of business material and equipment to informal traders operating in the Sol Plaatje Local Municipality. In attendance, is the Executive Mayor of Sol Plaatje Local Municipality Ms Nondumiso Buda, Deputy Chairperson Mr David Kok as well as Councillor Ariene Bosman.

A total number of 87 informal traders and SMMEs in AFM Roepersfontein Church Roodepan, Kimberly Northern Cape Province will receive business working material and equipment through the Department's Informal Micro Enterprise Department Programme.

IMEDP is a specially designed programme that aims to empower and develop informal traders to become skilled and adequately equipped to manage their businesses. The programme also provides equipment and machinery needed in the sector.
