The Department of Small Business Development (DSBD), together with its entities and the entire small business fraternity welcomes Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams to the Ministry responsible for the transformation of the economy, empowerment, and development of small to medium enterprises as well as cooperatives.

16 July 2021 - Small business and informal business associations condemn violence and looting and welcome interventions by the Department of Small Business Development to provide support to existing and new SMMEs and informal trades. On Tuesday 13, July 2021, Minister Khumbudzo Ntshavheni held a meeting with the leadership of the NAFCOC, SAITA and Foundation for African Business and Consumer Services (FABCOS) pertaining to matters affecting SMMEs and Informal Traders.

16 July 2021 - Directions issued in terms of Regulation 30(1) of the regulations made under section 27(2) of the Disaster Management Act, 2002 (Act No. 57 of 2002): Measures to prevent and combat the spread of COVID-19. Directions set out in the Schedule hereto in order to provide guidance on the operation of businesses whose licenses and trade permits.
